Decompression Therapy

Spinal decompression treatment is a form of traction to the neck or back which helps alleviate pressure between the vertebra.

This can help to reduce pain which comes from disc bulge, disc herniation, degenerative discs, and spinal stenosis. It also may help reduce nerve pain causing sciatica or radiculopathy (pain radiating down the arms or legs from a pinched nerve).

If you have been advised to have surgery for a disc condition, consider trying this non-invasive treatment first.

A series of treatments will be done over the course of 4-12 weeks. Treatment is typically needed 2-3x week, and lasts about 20-30 minutes. Patients may also be advised to have chiropractic care, and physiotherapy in conjunction with decompression.
